Well, it’s June 1st, school is almost out, and the summer weather is upon us. There’s no better time to announce the official launch of the Tech Savvy Educator! For everyone new to the site, please feel free to poke around, read the articles, visit some of the links, and share you comments. Whether you find the site helpful or not, please don’t leave without visiting the forum. An excellent place to share and discover practical ways to use technology in the classroom, the forum is open to the public. You don’t have to register to post or read (but it’s more fun if you do!) and it’s being moderated by tech savvy educators that are eager to help other teachers with technology. For those that have already been enjoying the site this past month, please feel free to sign up on the forum, introduce yourself, and keep sharing those great ideas for using technology in the classroom.
There are still a few graphics and features I need to work on, but the site is 100% operational, generously staffed (although more volunteers are always welcome), and ready to serve as your online community for sharing ideas about technology in education. If you find even one tidbit of information helpful, or if you know another teacher out there that might benefit from the community, please feel free to pass on the website to as many educators as you like. The more we have, the better the site will become.
ENJOY!
I’d be happy to help if you need anything I can do.
